STEP 1
Check for a Fire
The immediate response should be to check there isn’t a fire.
STEP 2
Identify the Triggering Alarm
Identify the Triggering Alarm: While all alarms are sounding walk to every room and find the alarm that is flash a red light rapidly. This is your Triggering alarm.Once you locate it, press the ‘hush’ button once to silence all the alarms temporarily... It may take a couple of minutes for all alarms to stop sounding.
STEP 3
Clean the Alarm
Clean the Alarm: Often, false alarms are due to foreign particles like dust or bugs messing with the sensor. To tackle this, a good cleaning is in order. Take the alarm down, tap it gently to loosen any internal debris, and use a vacuum to clean around the edges and inside. Sometimes there is a hole on the face of the larm designed to hold a vacuum against.
STEP 4
After 15min
Should your alarms continue to sound after 15 minutes, even after a thorough cleaning, you may need to deactivate or turn off the triggering alarm.

You should not have to deactivate your smoke alarms, however if you end up doing this you should email your smoke alarm service provider or property manager immediately so a technician can be sent to your property to resolve the issue
