NIOSH COMPLIANT METH CHECKS
QLD Meth Surface Contamination Testing ON REQUEST
Meth contamination is a growing concern in Queensland residential properties that may lead to serious health risks for occupants.
Whether you are buying, selling, leasing or residing in a property you may wish to conduct contamination analysis.
Landlords in particular have a legal obligation to ensure the dwelling is safe.
Meth contamination is often a hidden risk, the extent of which you may not be fully aware of without laboratory analysis.
Our checking process is conducted in three stages.

STAGE 1 - Preliminary Meth Check - Laboratory Composite
If you suspect contamination at a property or would like to investigate whether a property is contaminated this is the first course of action. If analysis determines the theoretical maximum level of contamination is below 0.5 μg/100cm2 then no further testing is required. If analysis determines the theoretical maximum level of contamination is 0.5 μg/100cm2 or above then stage 2 and conduct detailed meth analysis via individual samples. At this point if the property is occupied they must vacate the premises immediately so that remediation can commence.
STAGE 2 - Detailed Meth Analysis - Individual Samples
If the preliminary meth check determines the theoretical maximum level of contamination is 0.5 μg/100cm2 or above then we will instruct the laboratory to analyse each individual sample. We will provide you with a detailed report of the level of contamination at each location sampled at the property. This will help you understand the level of remediation required at the property and you will be able to provide this information when engaging a remediation expert.
STAGE 3 - Post Remediation Meth Check - Laboratory Composite
Once remediation is complete we recommend a follow up meth check using the LAboratory Composite method. This will be to confirm the theoretical maximum level of contamination at the property is below 0.5 μg/100cm2.Only once a safe level of contamination is determined can the property be re-occupied.
