How do I find out if my smoke alarm is in date or out of date?

You can check the dated sticker on the back or side of the alarm. Generally smoke alarms have a 10 year lifespan from first use or stamped date, whichever comes first. You can also check your compliance report provided by check systems.Note: sometimes smoke alarms have the alarm expiry date printed on them, but if this is the case it will state expiry date. If the date does not mention expiry date then it is most likely the date of manufacture.
