Complete smoke alarm system upgrades
If we are guiding you in relation to a complete system installation then this will be based on a very specific alarm model and layout that is designed to optimise safety and minimise ongoing issues with alarm faults or false alarms.
We generally recommend the following configuration features to satisfy legislation and optimise safety:
- Fully interconnected photoelectric alarm system
- At least one smoke alarm on each level in the property
- Smoke alarms in all bedrooms or rooms that could be used as bedrooms.
- Smoke alarms in halls that connect bedrooms to the rest of the dwelling
- If halls are not practicable, in the next closest space that connects the bedroom to the rest of the dwelling.
- Heat alarms in the primary kitchen and garage to provide early warning of combustion in these locations.
- Remote controller device so alarms can be hushed without the need of a ladder.
