Troubleshooting Smoke Alarms
Are your smoke alarms false alarming or chirping?
One of the most important things to do first is identify which alarm is causing the alarms to set off or chirp.
In many cases one alarm will be causing the issue and in some cases it will be more than one.
In many cases you will be able to solve the problem by taking the alarm off its base plate, cleaning it, and then returning it to its base plate.
However if you can not stop the problem from occurring you will need to have a technician check your smoke alarms and possibly replace one or more of the devices.
It will be very helpful if you can advise the technician which alarms are triggering first or flashing red prior to them visiting.
